Support the Dr. Sullivan and Richie Jean Sherrod Jackson Home, opening in Greenfield Village in June 2026. The Jackson Home is a unique time capsule documenting the inspiring story of a courageous family and community at the forefront of one of the most momentous movements in U.S. history: the Selma to Montgomery marches — a sustained effort to ensure that all Americans would have the civil rights and voting rights promised to them.

Relocated from Selma, Alabama, the Jackson Home is the first home to be added to Greenfield Village in more than 40 years, and The Henry Ford seeks to raise $30 million to bring this important structure forward for generations to come.

Your gift helps ensure the home's lessons in courage, resilience and social justice will educate and inspire generations. Your contribution will help us share the legacy of the Jackson Home through several critical objectives:

  • Reconstruction and Preservation
  • Educational Programming and Community Engagement
  • Digitization and Accessibility
  • Historical Scholarship
  • Sustainable Stewardship
  • Broadening Collections

If you have questions or would like to speak with our Advancement Team to learn more about additional opportunities for support, please call us at (313) 982-6115 or email giving@thehenryford.org. For more information on the Jackson Home Project, click here.
